Advancement in i series of intel processor

Introduction of a Processor

A processor is the logic circuitry that responds to and processes the basic instructions that derive a computer.

There are two companies that produces processors Intel and AMD.

In this we will talk about:

The processors and its technology starting from intel core i3 , i5 , i7 , i9 including advancement in I-series and X-series of intel core.

Their  specifications.

Their comparison with   each other.

Let start with i-series.

Brief introduction about i3 processor

The Core i3 is a 3.2GHz dual core chip, and it quite a big improvement over the Core2Duo. It is a good 700 MHz faster, much faster but with significant faster Ram.

The first Core i3 processors were launched on Jan 7, 2010.

Some features of Core i3

  • Uses 4 threads.
  • This processor consists of 2 to 4 cores.
  • Contains A34 MB Cache.
  • Uses less heat and energy than earlier processors which is always a good thing.

Brief Introduction of Core i5

As i5 processors are more advanced as compared to the i3 and all the previous versions of the processors.

Basically i5 processors are introduced to do the intelligent networking and enhance the performances of the working for the sake of different purposes such as for gaming, faster working, reliable data for transmission etc.

Features of i5 processors

  • I5 processors have ability to work with integrated memory and can enhance the performance of the applications. The increase the memory up to 1333MHz/
  • It provides the 64 bit architecture for the users for the reliable working.
  • I5 also provide the opportunity to the users to use the system with multi tasking.
  • I5 processors have ability to run two multitasking processors together that are generally called as dual processors and can increase the working performance of the system efficiently.
  • I5 processors consist of Hyper Threading Technology that enables the users for multitasking and improves their business or working by working on the two different tasks at the same time.

Why i5 is better than i3

It has higher clock speed than the core i3.

The cache of the core  i5 is bigger than the core  i3, it is at 3-8 MB.

The core i5 is where the Turbo mode is made available, this provides users with the opportunity to turn off a core if it is not being utilized.

Why i7 is better than i5

The cache of the core i7 is bigger than i5,it is at 4-8MB.

This processor comes with 8 threads, ddefinitely enough to get the job done quickly, may be even at the speed of light.

And just like the other ones in this intel series of processors,it is more energy efficient and produces less heat.

Brief Introduction to Core i7

After  the development of i3 and i5 processor Intel produces a new version i.e. i7 processor that is comparatively faster than the old ones.Core i7’s were the current top-of-the line chips, out of all the core series processors. That is until core i9 and core X series chips. However the core i7 series is still quite expensive. They were designed in 2008 and were announced in 2009 just after the i5 processors.

Features of i7 processors

  • With the help of i7 processors users can enjoy the high speed working with the additional feature of the multitasking i.e. using two different documents or the files at the same time.
  • Turbo Boost technology is the another feature of the i7 processors. This provides the high performance to the system to overcome the work load of different applications and maintain the speed of the system.
  • Like i5 and i3 processors i7 also have a feature of Hyper threading technology enhances the activity and the speed of the system.
  • I7 processors are so advanced to deals with the integrated memory of e system and have ability to increase the memory up to 1066 Mbits and provides the working speed of 25.6 GB/sec.
  • Provides high data visualization technology to the users to view the high quality images and videographics.
  • Supports up to 64GB of DDR4-2400 RAM
  • Quad Core Processor
  • up to 4.5 GHZ Turbo Frequency
  • 4.20 GHz up to 4.50 GHz Max Turbo Frequency / 8 MB Cache

Brief Introduction to Core i9

The i9 series of chips is also the most powerful set of processors that Intel has released by far. The cheapest one has 10 cores, a huge L3 cache and costs about a grand right now. The highest end i9 has mind-boggling 18 cores (36 threads) and will set you back about the price of a cheap used car.Last, but not least, we have the new Core i9 series of chips, which are a big change from the rest of the lineup. Firstly, all the i9 chips use the new LG 2066 socket, which require an Intel X299 chipset motherboard. The i9 series of chips is also the most powerful set of processors that Intel has released by far. . The Core i9 family was announced during Computex 2017. The new family of processors are positioned above the Core i7 family and offer a significant increase in core and thread count at a premium

Features of Core i9

  • The cheapest one has 10 cores, a huge L3 cache and costs about a grand right now. The highest end i9 has mind-boggling 18 cores (36 threads) and will set you back about the price of a cheap used car.
  • Amazing Desktop Performance Built for Gaming. The first 9th Gen Intel® Core™ i9 desktop processor with 8-cores and 16 threads, up to 5 GHz frequency and a fully unlocked.
  • Intel Turbo Boost technology.
  • Hyper threading technology.
  • Intel smart Cache size 16 MB.
  • Graphics Dynamic frequency up to 1200 MHz.
